    Este artículo persigue el estudio de la representación e interpretación de la imagen del valido en los sermones que se predicaron en la Real Capilla durante el reinado de Carlos II, concretamente desde su mayoría de edad hasta la caída del duque de Medinaceli en 1685. A lo largo de estas páginas, se analizará no solamente la visión de los predicadores reales hacia aquella compleja figura, sino también su participación en los ambientes cortesanos, hasta el punto de influir en mayor o menor medida en los ministerios que se sucedieron durante el reinado del último Austria.

    This article seeks the study of the representation and interpretation of the image of the “valido” in the sermons that were preached in the Royal Chapel during the reign of Charles II, specifically from his majority of age until the fall of the Duke of Medinaceli in 1685. Throughout these pages, not only the vision of the royal preachers towards that complex figure will be analysed, but also their participation in the court factions, to the point of influencing the ministries that took place during the reign of the last Austria.
