Resumen de Evaluación del estrés laboral en los profesionales de enfermería de una unidad de cuidados paliativos

  El trabajo en cuidados paliativos se ha considerado tradicionalmente una fuente potencial de burnout por sus características. Los profesionales con niveles altos de estrés mantenido se ven personalmente afectados, pero también se ve afectada su capacidad asistencial. En la medida en que los factores de riesgo y eventos estresantes tiendan a reducirse o se mantengan en niveles suficientes como para ser afrontados con éxito por medio de los recursos o factores de protección, y en la medida en que los factores de protección tiendan a crecer, los resultados probables serán adaptativos. El objetivo de este trabajo es determinar el nivel de estrés de los profesionales de enfermería que trabajan en la UCC-UCP del Hospital Marítimo de Oza, en A Coruña, así como identificar los factores estresantes y protectores y sus propuestas de solución. Se propone un plan de mejora que repercuta positivamente en los trabajadores, la institución y, como objetivo último, los pacientes y sus familiares.

  Working in palliative care has been traditionally considered a potential source of burnout due to its characteristics. Professionals with high levels of stress are personally affected, and their healthcare capacity is also reduced. Whether the risk factors and stressful events tend to be reduced or maintained at sufficient levels to be successfully dealt with by means of resource planning or protective measures, and to the extent that protective factors tend often to grow, the probable results will be adapted.

  The main objective of this report is to determine the level of stress of the nursing professionals working in the UCC-UCP of the Hospital Marítimo de Oza, in A Coruña, as well as to identify the stressors and protective factors and any proposal to improve these. An improvement plan is proposed that will have a positive impact on the workers, the institution and, as a final objective, the patients and their families.
