Leibniz, Gracián y el barroco: El Comulgatorio y La Verdadera Teología Mística frente al quietismo

    En este artículo se propone la reconstrucción de algunos elementos de la razón teológica del s. XVII en tanto configuradora del concepto filosófico de barroco. Para ello se relacionan las tesis planteadas en De la Verdadera Teología Mística (1698- 1701?) de G. W. Leibniz y en El Comulgatorio (1655) de B. Gracián, centrándose el análisis en su posible confrontación con el quietismo de Miguel de Molinos, heredero de la Teología negativa de Pseudo-Dioniso. El artículo muestra cómo ambos autores se distancian de esta perspectiva y desarrollan una nueva vía de mística afirmativa, específicamente barroca, que hemos reconstruido con la ayuda de varios intérpretes: J. Baruzi (1905 1907 1909), C. Rösler (2010) y P. Lodge (2015). El artículo pretende, de ese modo, contribuir a resolver la dificultad con la que se ha encontrado la crítica para interpretar el contenido y el peso de estas obras, que se nos muestran ahora, en relación con el resto de la producción de sus autores, a una nueva luz.

    The aim of this article is to reconstruct some of the elements of to the theological reasoning of the 17th century, in so far as if applies to philosophical conception in the Baroque period.

    To this end, we have related the De la Verdadera Teología Mística (1698- 1701?) de G. W. Leibniz with B. Gracian´s El Comulgatorio (1655) focusing the analisis in the possible opposition with the Quietism of Miguel de Molinos, heir to the Negative Theology of the Pseudo Dionysius. The article shows how both those authors distance themselves from this perspective and develop a new path of affirmative mysticism, specifically Baroque, which we have reconstructed with the help of various interpreters: J. Baruzi (1905 1907 1909), C. Rösler (2010) and P. Lodge (2015). The article aims in this way to contribute to the resolution of the difficulty which critics have encountered while interpreting the content and weight of these works which are now being viewed in a new light, in relation to the other works of these authors.
