En las organizaciones gubernamentales del Ecuador, la publicidad se ha insertado como una herramienta de apoyo comunicativo sobre la acción del gobierno.
Mediante una investigación descriptiva, de carácter cualitativo e interpretativo, analiza las diversas dimensiones de utilización de la publicidad en los departamentos de comunicación de las instituciones públicas del Ecuador.
La publicidad es utilizada para informar sobre la gestión, posicionar la institución y los logros del gobierno, y conseguir que la ciudadanía actúe en temas referentes a la institución y la posición política del gobierno, la decisión sobre que se debe publicitar es un tema de las autoridades y no se rige bajo un parámetro establecido.

In the governmental organizations of Ecuador, advertising has been inserted as a communicative support tool about government action.
Using a descriptive research, qualitative and interpretative nature, it analyzes the various dimensions of use of advertising in the departments of communication of the public institutions of the Ecuador. Publicity is used to inform about the management, position the institution and the achievements of the government, obtain specifi c actions of the citizenship in subjects that belong to the fi elds of action of the institution and the political position of the government of the moment; the decision on what should be publicized is a matter of the authorities and is not governed by an established parameter
