    Se describe un caso cie una hemorragia afectando el tejido subcutáneo, después de una ovariohisterectornía rutinaria practicada en una perra mestiza, debido a un defecto de coagulación de origen hereditario (enfermedad de Van Willebrand). Se realiza e! diagnóstico diferencial en función cie la falta de historia y sintomatología previa, el tipo de hemorragia y el aumento en el tiempo de coagulación. La determinación del factor VIII: A fue diagnóstico. El tratamiento conservador fue efectivo. * lhe case report is that of a haemorrhage affecting the subcutaneous tissues after a routine total histerectomy performed in a mongrel dog, due to a hereditary coagulation defect (Van Willebrand's Disease). A differential diagnosis is made in the light of the lack of previous history and symptoms, the type of haemorrbage and the protonged coagulation time. Determination of Factor VIII: A was diagnostic. Conservative treatment was successful.
