Se define el concepto clínico de insuficiencia cardíaca. Se describe la flsíopatología así como los distintos mecanismos que intentan compensar el corazón afectado, analizando fmalmente los signos clínicos que nos vamos a encontrar y de esta manera clasificar desde el punto de vista funcional el tipo de insuficiencia cardíaca. * We explain the concept of heart failure. We describe the phisiopathology and the compensatory systems. Finally, the clínical signs and the functional classes of heart failure are discussed.
