    Una perra boxer de 14 meses se presentó en la consulta con síntomas de rigidez muscular generalizada adoptando una postura típica de caballete. Inicialmente debido a la inexistencia de una herida aparente y a la baja incidencia de tétanos se sospechó de una intoxicación por estricnina, aunque posteriormente se confirmó el diagnóstico de tétanos. En dicho artículo se describen los síntomas, la evolución clínica y el tratamiento establecido. * A fourteen months oId, boxer female, is presented with sittffgait and a characteristic «sawhorse» stance. Initially we suspect strychine intoxication due to the absence of a wound and the low incidence of tetanus. Later the diagnosis of tetanus was confirmed. In this paper we described the clinical signs and management of this case.
