* This is a case report of a 8 kg mixed breed dog, 14 month old, that was hit by a car, which presented with rupture of the medial collateral ligaments of the tarsus. The torn ligaments were replaced by monofilament polypropilene* in a figure of eight pattern and fixed to the medial tibial malleolus and talus by two 2,7 cortical screws. This treatment produced adequate joint stabilization.
