  • Resumen
    • The effect of anthocyanins, derived from red wine, on phagocytic activity of peritoneal mice macrophages was investigated. Two kinds of experiments in vivo and in vitro were carried out. Phagocytic activity was stimulated with suspension from E. coli strain C 600 R12, labelled with 3H‐thymidine. Doses of 25, 50, 100 and 200 mg kg‐1 were administrated po for 5 days. Results shown that anthocyanins stimulated phagocytic activity moderately in doses of 25 50 and 100 mg kg‐1and tended to inhibit it in doses of over 200 mg kg‐1.
