Con el propósito de colaborar con el proceso de mejora continua de la Educación Superior Cubana y con el cumplimiento de los objetivos trazados por el Ministerio de Educación Superior, en el trabajo se muestran datos estadísticos relacionados con el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje que constituyen indicadores que permiten valorar características propias de este proceso. Estos indicadores son adecuados para ser usado en la gestión universitaria y para los propósitos de perfeccionamiento tanto institucional como de las carreras, por tanto, constituyen un valioso instrumento para las distintas autoridades académicas, permitiéndoles describir y conocer el contexto educativo, definir objetivos y adoptar las estrategias adecuadas que permitan conseguir los mismos. A su vez, los análisis e interpretaciones de esas cifras posibilitan realizar cambios en los modos de hacer en el proceso formativo y establecer acciones que proporcionen el logro del éxito académico. Los datos que aquí se muestran fueron tomados de informaciones estadísticas existentes en el Departamento de Información y Estadística de la Universidad de Las Tunas.
With the purpose of collaborating with the process of continuous improvement of Cuban Higher Education and with the fulfillment of the objectives set by the Ministry of Higher Education, the work shows statistical data related to the teaching-learning process that constitute indicators that allow assess the characteristics of this process. These indicators are suitable to be used in university management and for the purposes of both institutional and career improvement, therefore, they constitute a valuable instrument for the different academic authorities, allowing them to describe and know the educational context, define objectives and adopt the appropriate strategies to achieve them. In turn, the analysis and interpretation of these figures make it possible to make changes in the ways of doing in the training process and establish actions that provide the achievement of academic success.
