    La presente investigación tiene como propósito plantear algunos interrogantes para lograr determinar cuáles han sido las tendencias sobre el lucro cesante que ha definido el Consejo de Estado colombiano cuando se condena al Estado a la reparación de perjuicios en el escenario de naturaleza jurídica de responsabilidad extracontractual. Se propone caracterizar los enfoques respecto del concepto “lucro cesante”, propuestos en la doctrina y en la jurisprudencia, con el propósito de identificar las reglas establecidas por el Consejo de Estado y así identificar cuáles han sido sus tendencias.

    This article has the objective to set some questions in order to determine which have been the trends about loss of profit defined by the Consejo de Estado (State Council) when the state is liable to pay damages in the scenario and nature of the tort responsibility. It is proposed to characterize the approaches about the concept of loss of profit shown on the doctrine; analize the judicial decision taken in the frame of the tort responsibility of the state about the figure of loss profit in Colombia, since the 1991´s constitution, in order to identify the law rules of the Consejo de Estado (State Council) which allows to tell which had been the trends around the loss of profit set inside of the frame of tort responsibility of the state since the 1991 constitution
