Raúl de Nieves shares his fascination of Warhol's drawings of shoes in the 1950s which he describes as acts of desire for this object. Marilyn Minter considers Warhol's hand-painted works in 1961 as his best work because they precipice a revolution in art history. Meanwhile, Xu Zhen commends Warhol for combining declaration and social ideas in making his art.
