    • The article explores the history of the work of U.S. artist Raul Guerrero. It highlights his work "Rotating Yaqui Mask" that dramatized the vagaries of history and geography. The influence of Guerrero's family history on his development as an artist is discussed. In addition, the article describes Guerrero's early art styles, including his paintings that draw both from Surrealism and colonial Mexican painting.
