  • An editorial is presented which addresses the author's views about the treatment of leprosy (Hansen's disease) in relation to changes involving American medicine during the 20th century, and it mentions another article which appears in the same issue of the journal and deals with science, cultural attitudes, and the understanding of diseases. Treatments for cancer and heart disease are examined, along with medical cures and various forms of survivorship care.
