  • An editorial is presented which addresses the author's views about the potential impact that the epidemiology of acute hepatitis C virus (HCV) and opioid use might have on health policy decision-making in America as of 2018, and it mentions the article "Estimating Future Hepatitis C Morbidity, Mortality, and Costs in the United States" by J.B. Wong and others which appears in a 2000 issue of the journal. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and HCV treatment are assessed.
