Resumen de Addressing VAST Needs.
The author discusses the need for public health efforts that address problems that people face that are rooted in violence, addiction, social isolation, and traumatic life events (VAST) in order to promote suicide prevention. Topics include the need for health professionals to cultivate a culture of encounter in which they get to know people with VAST needs, and the importance of acknowledging a shared humanity between health professionals and individuals with VAST needs.
