  • The article discusses the authors' claim that the communities across the U.S. have the resources that are needed to help refugee families from places such as Syria, and it mentions a "Food As Medicine" advocacy group for refugees and families, as well as empathy for the physical and emotional needs of refugees. A Syrian civil war-related humanitarian crisis is examined, along with refugees resettlement and donations of clothing, money, and household appliances.
