  • The article discusses several challenges involving population health science (PHS) as of 2017, and it mentions the establishment of the Interdisciplinary Association for Population Health Science (IAPHS) membership organization, as well as a call for the integration of research on macro-level processes in health research. A PHS-related editorial by K.M. Keyes and S. Galea, which appears in a 2016 issue of the journal, is addressed. Consequential science and infrastructure are assessed.
