An editorial is presented which addresses the authors' views about how to define the roles of schools and programs in public health (SPPH) in America in the aftermath of the election of businessman Donald Trump as the nation's president. The potential impacts that a conservative-led U.S. Congress might have on public health, environmental laws, and deportations are examined, along with suggestions regarding public health curricula revisions, policy support, and the health of LGBT people.
