  • An editorial is presented which addresses the author's views about health disparities in relation to natural disasters and public health services in America, and it mentions several other articles which appear in the same issue of the journal and deal with topics such as the vulnerability of communities to disasters such as Hurricanes Katrina, Irma, and Harvey in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Self-preparedness, community resilience, and disaster management are assessed.
