  • The author reflects on the progress that U.S. President Barack Obama's administration has made with regards to women's health in America as of 2016, and it mentions the nation's Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), health insurance coverage for preventive services for females, and U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved contraceptive methods and counseling. Screening services for human papillomavirus and HIV are examined, along with abortion care and reproductive health.
