  • The article discusses the editor's views about war-related social suffering and pain as of 2017, and it mentions the effects of war and violence on an individual's physical health, as well as information about the survivors of a civil war in Aleppo, Syria. Exposure to ethnic conflicts and political violence is addressed, along with public health research and the well-being of war survivors. Quality of life, insecurity, and distress are also assessed.
