  • The article discusses health equity, focusing upon insights from the MD Paula Braveman, the director of Disparities in Health at the University of California; other topics including how in 2011 the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the U.S. released its first report on healthcare disparity and how health is connected to social determinants including poverty, racism, housing and education.
