  • The article discusses public health in relation to racism and health equity in America as of 2017, and it mentions scientific objectivity, racial injustice, and the views of the late African American politician Shirley Chisholm. Racial oppression in the U.S. is addressed, along with the attitudes of public health practitioners in the country. Poverty and communities of color in the U.S. are assessed, as well as solidarity and health promotion in places such as New York, New York.
