  • The author discusses the impact of oral health disparities on the physical, mental and social well-being of poor and minority citizens in the U.S. Topics include the need for a more diverse health workforce in order to better respond to the changing demographics of the U.S., the integration of oral health care with overall health care, and the need for comprehensive access to oral health care and preventive services.
