María Zambrano entiende que no es posible una comprensión total del hombre sin las aportaciones de las diversas formas de creación por la palabra. En este trabajo se pretende dilucidar si la filósofa considera que la novela, ese nuevo género que inaugura la Modernidad en Occidente, es capaz, comolo fue la Tragedia y lo es aún el género lírico, de enriquecer el conocimiento del hombre.

Maria Zambrano believes it is impossible to have a complete understanding of the human being without considering the diverse forms of creation using the word. This essay aims to elucidate whether the philosopher considers that the novel, a new literary style that led to Modernity in the Westernworld, is capable — as Tragedy was the past, and the lyrical style still is – of enriching our knowledge of the human being.
