La présence étymologique et sémantique du grec classique et du grec byzantin dans le néogrec: les cas des Βάναυσος, λαίμαργος, σαρίκι

    The etymology of Βάναυσος,λαίμαργος,σαρίκι proposed during a radio broadcast is wrong. The first two words are incontestably of Greek origin; the third is of Arab etymology. From a semantic point of view; λαίμαργος has not evolved; Βάναυσος , under the influence of Roman law and Byzantine social reality, has evolved in Modern Greek to the meaning 'brutal'; σαρίκι refers to the headdress of the Muslim clerk and has nothing to do with the crown worn by the Byzantine Caesars.

    L'étymologie des mots Βάναυσος, λαίμαργος,σαρίκι proposée lors d'une émission radiophonique doit erre revue. Si l'étymologie des deux prerniers est incontestablement grecque, le troisieme remonte a la langue arabe. Du point de vue sémantique, λαίμαργος ; n'a pas évolué; Βάναυσος, ; sous l'influence de la législation romaine et la réalité sociale byzantine est tombé en grec moderne dans le sens 'brutal' ; σαρίκι désigne le couvre-chef des clercs musulmans et il n'a rien a faire avec la couronne du césar de l'époque byzantine.
