Resumen de El Sistema Atapuerca de Burgos: un buen ejemplo de comunicación del patrimonio y divulgación científica

  Desde hace unos años existe una gran preocupación y ocupación por parte de investigado­res, técnicos y profesionales de la gestión del patrimonio sobre una asignatura pendiente que es la divulgación y comunicación del patrimonio. Sabemos del gran esfuerzo que supo­ne, para algunos de ellos, poder comunicarse con todo ese público tan heterogéneo intere­sado en el patrimonio y que debido a sus escasos conocimientos sobre la materia, necesitan de una traducción a un lenguaje asequible, sin restarle rigor científico. Ponemos el ejemplo del Sistema Atapuerca, porque creemos que han sabido difundir de manera magistral todo lo que entrañan estos yacimientos.

  El modo de llevar a cabo la divulgación de los conocimientos científicos, la comunicación del Museo de la Evolución Humana, así como la difusión de todo lo que supone el Sistema Ata­puerca, es lo que intentamos mostrar en este artículo, que aunque en algunos casos puede parecer complejo, estamos convencidos de que está dando unos magníficos resultados.

  In the past few years, there is a growing concern among researchers, technicians and profes­sional staff devoted to the heritage management, in relation to the always pending matter of heritage vulgarisation and communication.

  We are very much aware of the enormous effort invested by some of them in order to be able to pass their message over to such a heterogeneous audience interested in the heritage. We also know that, given the relatively low level of their knowledge on the matters exposed, they need so me sort of translation to a more accessible language that should not imply a reduction of the scientific accuracy. We have chosen the example of the System of Atapuerca, because we believe that the professionals working on it have been able to spread the magnitude of this site in a masterful manner.

  In this article, we focus on the different ways chosen to disseminate the scientific knowledge, the communication of the Museum on Human Evolution, and the spreading of the news related to the System of Atapuerca. It is true that it can be found somehow complex, but we have chosen it because we are convinced that it is really bringing about very interesting results.
