  • The article focuses on the impact of Rome on Venezuelan military leader Simón Bolívar. It refers to the reflection of an abstract and powerful idea of a patently imprecise conflation of republic and empire and a set of valuable tangible political models in Bolívar's behavior. It highlights the description of a civilization blowing in from the East in the book Oath.
