Resumen de Representações da Violência na Fronteira: um estudo a partir das regiões da Grande Dourados (MS) e do Oeste Paranaense (PR)

Partindo do diálogo entre diferentes pesquisas sobre fronteiras empreendidas nos últimos anos, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo estudar as representações sociais da violência em duas regiões de fronteira do Brasil: a Grande Dourados (MS) e o Oeste Paranaense (PR). Para tanto, analisa como a imprensa local nessas regiões contribui para a (re)produção de representações sobre crime e violência. Num período de aproximadamente três meses, foram selecionados 2.256 títulos de notícias em quatro jornais (dois para cada região), os quais foram classificados em três categorias de ocorrências e analisados em termos da frequência de palavras-chave que reforçam imagens, estereótipos e concepções da violência e da criminalidade na fronteira

Starting from the dialogue between different and recent frontier researches, this article aims to study the social representations of violence on two border regions of Brazil: Grande Dourados (MS) and the west of Parana (PR). Therefore, it analyzes how the local press in these regions contributes to the (re)production of crime and violence representations. Over a period of three months, it was selected 2.256 news titles from four newspapers (two from each region) which were classified into three categories of occurrences. Then they were analyzed by the frequency of keywords that reinforce images, stereotypes and conceptions of border crime and violence.
