  • Resumen
    • This article discusses research indicating that lateralization in the brain helps animals to deal with multiple items requiring attention. Research indicated that exposure to light during the gestation of chicks played a role in the lateralization of their brains and animal physiologist Paolo Zucca used this knowledge to study cerebral development in those birds. Animals with strongly lateralized brains proved better able to feed while remaining aware of predators.
