Adolescents who practice physical exercises for the purpose of competition have an increased energy expenditure, consequently they need greater energy demand. The objective of the study was to evaluate the nutritional profile as well as the macronutrient intake of a group of adolescent sprinters. Ten athletes, male, sprinters of 400m shallow, were collected fat percentage, according to the protocol of Petroski (1995). To analyze the eating habits, a 24-hour recall was applied. Measured food intake through the Dietwin program, 2010. The result showed that the average energy requirement of the athletes was 3,827.73 kcal / day within the recommended (3,000 to 5,000). Regarding macronutrients, daily carbohydrate intake was 54.30% lower than recommended (60% to 70% of TEV), proteins presented 19.74% of the recommended value (12% to 15%) and lipids 25, 97% recommended (15% to 30%). In relation to the anthropometric profile, it presented an average of 66.98-body weight and 8.04% of body fat percentage within that recommended for athletes (8% to 16%). It was concluded that the athletes' diet showed macronutrient inadequacy and there was a need for adjustments and improvements. The anthropometric profile is adequate.
