Resumen de Pelos campos de Futebol: apontamentos históricos sobre os primeiros espaços dos clubes de futebol em Porto Alegre (1903-1910)

  The spaces of football clubs are striking constructions in the landscape and their fields are seen as a type of historical and cultural property which are representative of the places where they are inserted. It occurs in such way that it is possible to perceive that football goes beyond the limits of the sports scenario of competition and it conforms like a practice of the cultural arrangement of the cities. In view of the historical panorama of football in the city of Porto Alegre, the present study aims to investigate the historical process of formation of the first fields for the practice of football by the clubs of Porto Alegre, in the beginning of the 20th century. In order to accomplish this historical-documentary study, besides the bibliographical revision it consulted reports of newspapers and magazines. The sources analysis revealed that the first established clubs in the city, exclusively aimed at the practice of football, did not have a proper field at the time of its foundation, in the first decade of the twentieth century. The acquisition of space for sports practice was later and counted on the financial assistance of its members, besides the government support.

  Os espaços dos clubes de futebol são construções marcantes na paisagem, sendo os campos vistos como uma espécie de patrimônio histórico-cultural representativo do lugar onde está inserido. De tal modo, percebe-se que o futebol ultrapassa os limites do cenário de competição esportiva e se conforma como uma prática do arranjo cultural das cidades. Tendo em vista o panorama histórico do futebol na cidade de Porto Alegre, o presente estudo tem como objetivo investigar o processo histórico de formação dos primeiros campos para a prática do futebol pelos clubes de Porto Alegre no princípio do século XX. Para a realização desse estudo histórico-documental, além da revisão bibliográfica foram consultadas reportagens de jornais e revistas. A análise das fontes revelou que os primeiros clubes estabelecidos na cidade, visando exclusivamente à prática do futebol, na primeira década do século XX, não tinham um campo próprio no ato de sua fundação. A aquisição do espaço para a prática esportiva foi posterior e contou com a ajuda financeira de sócios e também do poder público.
