Resumen de Guerra da pós-verdade: a batalha político-midiática do Movimento Brasil Livre

  In a scenario marked by the rising digitization of all aspects of human life, the conception of truth may be radically changing. In the so-called “post-truth” era, objective facts would become less important than the appeal to intersubjective emotions and beliefs. This phenomenon is manifested mainly in social media, where algorithms favor the creation of echo chambers, which resonate only that information identified with each user’s preferences and make invisible the information that is outside of this previously expressed field of interests. Thus, the reach of partisan or ideological information can be broadened, influencing the perception of the reality by the public.

  In this scenario, groups such as the Free Brazil Movement occupy social networks to disseminate information based on imprecise and sometimes untruthful facts, around which they seek to give visibility and harness followers to their political causes and interests, fighting a battle against the traditional journalistic model and its commitment to the truth.

  Em um cenário caracterizado pela crescente digitalização de todos os aspectos da vida humana, a concepção da verdade pode estar sendo alterada radicalmente. Na chamada era da “pós-verdade”, fatos objetivos teriam cada vez menos importância diante do apelo às emoções e às crenças intersubjetivas. Esse fenômeno se manifesta principalmente nas redes sociais, onde algoritmos favorecem a criação de câmaras de eco, que ressoam apenas as informações identificadas com as preferências de cada usuário e tornam invisíveis as informações que estejam fora desse campo de interesses previamente manifestados. Assim, o alcance de informações partidarizadas ou com teor ideológico pode ser ampliado, influenciando a percepção do público sobre a realidade. Nesse cenário, grupos como o Movimento Brasil Livre ocupam as redes sociais para disseminar informações apoiadas em fatos imprecisos e por vezes inverídicos, em torno das quais buscam dar visibilidade e arregimentar seguidores para suas causas e interesses políticos, travando uma batalha contra o modelo jornalístico tradicional e seu compromisso com a verdade.
