  The present study aims to describe the training methodology of the Football Periodization (PT), created by Portuguese professor Vitor Frade (Campos, 2007; Carvalho, 2006; Gomes, 2006), and specifically to argue and therefore to base with "pillars" belonging to the neurosciences this different, "controversial" and contextual form of organization and operationalization of football training. Exercises played in inferiority, equality, and numerical superiority may be related to new learning and memory formation, as well as neuronal changes. The tactical periodization methodology may involve a modification of neuronal gene expression through the production of new proteins in certain neural structures, accustoming the players to adapt very easily to the numerous situations that are exposed during the course of a game.

  O presente estudo tem como objetivo descrever a metodologia de treinamento do futebol Periodização Tática (PT), criada pelo professor português Vitor Frade (Campos, 2007; Carvalho, 2006; Gomes, 2006), e especificamente argumentar e por consequência fundamentar com “pilares” pertencentes às neurociências esta forma diferente, “polêmica” e contextual de organização e operacionalização do treinamento do futebol. Os exercícios de forma jogada em inferioridade, igualdade e superioridade numérica podem estar relacionados com novas aprendizagens e formação de memórias, bem como alterações neuronais. A metodologia periodização tática pode envolver uma modificação da expressão genética neuronal por meio da produção de novas proteínas em determinadas estruturas neurais, habituando os jogadores a se adaptarem muito facilmente às situações inúmeras que estão expostos no decorrer de um jogo.
