Interaction, performance and morphological and functional profile of the key-player in the soccer game - children's stage (under-13) Objective: The aim of this study was to analyse the morphological and functional interaction, performance and the profile of young football players. Materials and methods: We analysed 15 young male football players (11,43 ± 0,64 years), age group under 13. Moreover, we performed a morphological evaluation of the players and evaluated their anthropometric, maturational and functional performance data. Through the VideObserver® match analysis software, the level of interaction and key-player performance was measured over 6 games. Results: The results indicate the existence of a great variability in the morphological and functional profile of the key-player. Taking into account the performance and interactions established between players, the results showed that the key player was predominant in the dynamics of the team, especially in the context of their organization. Conclusion: The data in the present study do not clearly confirm that taller and heavier soccer players tend to get better performance, advantage or a better level of interaction in the game against their peers. Finally, it is concluded that the key-player is essential for the orchestration of interactions established with his teammates.

ABSTRACT Interaction, performance and morphological and functional profile of the key-player in the soccer game - children's stage (under-13)Objective: The aim of this study was to analyse the morphological and functional interaction, performance and the profile of young football players.
