  El presente trabajo tiene por objeto realizar algunas consideraciones previas y en fase inicial en relación con la utilización del VAR en el sistema de aplicación de las reglas de juego y disciplinarias en el ámbito del deporte y, específicamente, del fútbol. Su utilización responde al deseo de hacer más justa la aplicación de las reglas de juegos sabiendo que la tecnología puede aportar en este ámbito un nivel de garantía muy superior al sistema tradicional de arbitraje. Lo que aquí se analiza es si dicha introducción ha sido o no suficientemente analizada desde una perspectiva puramente jurídica y si los instrumentos actuales de ordenación del proceso son suficientes o exigirían algún tipo de regulación adicional.

  The purpose of this paper is to make some preliminary and initial considerations regarding the use of the VAR in the application system of the rules of the game and disciplines in the field of sport and, specifically, football. Its use responds to the desire to make more fair the application of the rules of games knowing that technology can provide in this area a level of guarantee far superior to the traditional system of arbitration. What is analyzed here is whether or not this introduction has been sufficiently analyzed from a purely legal perspective and whether the current instruments for managing the process are sufficient or would require some type of additional regulation.
