  • The article focuses on research published in "Astrophysical Journal" concerning the possibility Jupiter's moon Europa could intermittently vent water vapor plumes into outer space. It states imaging spectrography from the Hubble Space Telescope looked for signs of plumes when it passed between Jupiter and the Earth and found evidence such activity might be present. It talks about plans to send a probe and lander to Europa and how plumes could alter funding for exploratory missions to Europa.
