  • Resumen
    • Mood States (MS), as elements which are part of psychological wellbeing, must be subject to improvement through physical activity (PA) and its possible consequences on health. For this purpose, the present research aims to analyze and describe the possible relations of the different levels of PA with the positive and negative feelings with regard to MSs and gender. Participants were 1,002 individuals (≥18 years old, 52.9% women) who were applied: International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) and Mood States Questionnaire (MSQ). Bivariate correlations (Spearman) and the analysis of binary logistic regression were also carried out. Data show significant correlations of low magnitude between the MSs of “sadness, tiredness and liveliness” and the levels of PA. It can be concluded that PA based on the global recommendations of a healthy practice would have a beneficial effect on the MS of individuals, and therefore it would contribute to implement their psychological health.
