    • The article discusses the progress that researchers are making toward robot bipedalism. Topics covered include the lack of bipedal robots capable of combining control, robustness and efficiency as well as humans, the use of the capture point method by the robot Running Man created by Jerry Pratt and his team at the Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC) Robotics Laboratory, and the walking robot ATRIAS developed by mechanical engineer Jonathan Hurst and his graduate students.
