Reflexión en torno al problema del otro, inspirado en algunas lecturas del filósofo latinoamericano Carlos Cullen. Pensamiento crítico y pensamiento meta-crítico en aras de la interpelación del otro

    El siguiente trabajo aborda el tema: el problema del otro desde la perspectiva crítica y meta crítica de la Filosofía Latinoamericana de Carlos Cullen. Se enfoca teniendo en cuenta dos preguntas: ¿cómo se contrarresta el pensamiento único que desde su origen no cesa de imponerse? y ¿cómo se compensa el silente deslizamiento que tiene el pensamiento crítico hacia una dogmatización y anquilosamiento del mismo para evitar caer de ese modo paradójicamente en aquello que critica? Ante esas problemáticas se propuso como hipótesis la siguiente afirmación: Carlos Cullen es un filósofo latinoamericano, cuya posición filosófica no es meramente crítica, sino también meta-crítica. Su pensamiento crítico contrarresta al pensamiento único y su pensamiento meta-crítico contrarresta el silente deslizamiento del pensamiento crítico hacia una dogmatización y anquilosamiento del modo de pensar, para evitar caer paradójicamente en aquello que se critica. Ambos develan problemas antropológicos que se intentará señalizar desde el enfoque hermenéutico. Se propusieron como objetivos: el primero consiste en distinguir el problema del otro siendo de suyo una escisión subyacente que plantea la distinción entre la lógica de la identidad y la lógica de la diferencia. El segundo, mostrar como la problemática del otro implica al pensamiento crítico. El tercero, connotar el pensamiento crítico desde la perspectiva de Carlos Cullen. El cuarto, mostrar como el pensamiento crítico debe apelar al pensamiento metacrítico. Y por último, el quinto, caracterizar al pensamiento meta-crítico subyacente en el modo de pensar de Carlos Cullen. Acorde a los objetivos especificados la estructura central del trabajo constará de una primera parte en la que se explicitarán todas las cuestiones formales del trabajo. Una segunda que pretenderá dar cumplimiento al primer objetivo esquematizando ambas lógicas en el marco del problema del otro. La tercera, intentará mostrar brevemente la necesidad del pensamiento crítico a partir del problema del otro dando así cumplimento al segundo objetivo. La cuarta, siguiendo al tercer objetivo, consistirá en connotar el concepto de pensamiento crítico a la luz de la perspectiva propuesta por Carlos Cullen. La quinta parte cumplirá con el cuarto objetivo, que consiste en mostrar como el pensamiento crítico debe apelar al pensamiento meta-crítico como novedad y como modo de oxigenar al pensamiento crítico cuya función principal es evitar el proceso dogmatizante y anquilosante del pensamiento crítico. La sexta, consistirá en caracterizar el pensamiento meta-crítico; y la séptima concluirá retomando la hipótesis, confrontándola con cada una de las partes de la secuencia expositiva, construyendo así algunas consideraciones finales.

    This addresses the following topic: the problem of the other from the critical and metacritical perspective of Charles Cullen’s Latin-American philosophy.

    It focuses on two questions: How to offset the single thought that since its origin continues to be imposed? And How to compensate the silent glide of critical thinking towards a dogmatization and stagnation of the same to avoid falling – paradoxically – into what it criticizes? Considering these problems, the following assertion was proposed as a hypothesis: Carlos Cullen is a Latin American philosopher, whose philosophical position is not merely critical, but also meta-critical. His critical thought counteracts the unique thinking and his meta-critical thought counteracts the silent sliding of critical thought towards a dogmatization and stagnation of the way of thinking, to avoid falling into what is criticized.

    Both statements reveal anthropological problems that we will attempt to point out from the hermeneutic approach.

    The objectives are: first, to distinguish the problem of the other, being of his an underlying scission raised by the distinction between the logic of identity and the logic of the difference. In the second place, to show how the problem of the other involves the critical thinking. The third goal is to connote the critical thinking from the perspective of Carlos Cullen. In the fourth place, to show how critical thinking must appeal to meta-critical thinking. And finally, the fifth objective is to characterize the meta-critical thinking underlying Carlos Cullen´s thought.

    In accordance with these objectives, the central structure of the work will consist of a first part in which all formal questions will be stated; then a second part which will seek to fulfil the first objective, outlining both logics in the frame of the problem of the other. The third part will try to briefly show the need of critical thinking starting from the problem of the other, thus accomplishing the second goal. The fourth part, following the third aim, will connote the concept of critical thinking in the light of the perspective proposed by Carlos Cullen. The fifth part will comply with the fourth goal, which is to show how critical thinking must appeal to meta-critical thinking as a novelty and as a way to oxygenate the critical thinking whose main function is to prevent the dogmatizing and paralyzing process of critical thinking. The sixth part, will consist in characterizing the meta-critical thought; and the seventh section will conclude by retaking the hypotheses, confronting it with each part of the expository sequence and therefore, building some final considerations.
