    The objective of this article is to reflect on the relationship between traditional agricultural techniques and landscape preservation in Três Riachos, Biguaçu, Santa Catarina State. The focus of the study is on the community as a site of farming practice in order to reflect on how shifting agriculture can be used to conserve the local landscape.

    O objetivo do artigo é apresentar algumas reflexões da relação entre as técnicas tradicionais agrícolas aplicadas pelos agricultores em Três Riachos, Biguaçu -- SC, envolvidos no sistema agrícola local e o papel da paisagem como instrumento de proteção e preservação de tais técnicas. Partimos da comunidade que utiliza a técnica de agricultura itinerante, para refletir sobre a instrumentalização da paisagem e suas potencialidades.
