Este artículo se propone analizar la importancia y utilidad de la fotografía que se realizaron en el frente de guerra de la Ciudad Universitaria para documentar los efectos de las voladuras de minas en los edificios del campus universitario durante el periodo de la Guerra Civil española. La utilidad de estas fotografías viene dada por la precisión con que se consignó su fecha de realización al especificar día, mes y año. Esta precisión sirve para datar otras fotografías que aún permanece sin fecha exacta. Se ejemplifica todo esto con una fotografía del Archivo Histórico del Partido Comunista de España.

This article analyzes the importance and usefulness of the photograph taken at the war front of the City University to document the effects of blasting mining in campus buildings during the period of the Spanish Civil War. The usefulness of these photographs is given by the precision with which the transaction date was entered by specifying day, month and year. This precision serves to date other pictures that remains still exact date. It is exemplified this with a photograph of HistoricalA rchives of the Communist Party of Spain.
