  • The article discusses research into the use of herbal medicines to develop drugs to fight malaria and other diseases as of June 2014. Topics include analysis of the standard method of drug development from natural products and its low success rate, Bertrand Graz of the University of Lausanne and Merlin Willcox of the University of Oxford's clinical trials of traditional remedies, and the decline of traditional medicine around the world.
