  • The article discusses the debate over the age of rocks found in Nuvvuagittuq, Canada that may be the oldest found as of March 2014. Topics include the competing claims of teams led by University of Colorado geologist Stephen J. Mojzsis and University of Ottawa geologist Jonathan O'Neil, the use of ancient rocks in understanding the geologic history of the Earth, and dating methods including zircons and radioactive isotope measurement.
