  • The article discusses the author's experience investigating plagiarism in professional biomedical literature. Topics include the development of the electronic Text Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (eTBLAST) textual analysis software and its use as a plagiarism detector, the impact of the findings on scientific journal editors, authors, and the peer review system, and the suggestion of a collaboratively-edited scientific publication.
