  • The article focuses on research into wooden astronomical tables found on Egyptian coffins. It states in the 1960s Egyptologist Richard A. Parker and science historian Otto Neugebauer proposed that 13 tables that had been recovered traced the order in which stars and small star clusters rose over the eastern horizon for each week throughout the year. It mentions associate professor Sarah Symons used planetarium software simulating ancient stars to determine there were two groups of tablets.
