  The aim of this study is to identify and analyze the content taught in the syllabus of controllership of Brazilian federal universities and make relation with market expectations in regard to the basic functions performed by the controller. From the functions required by the job market, collected in previous studies, were analyzed the syllabus in order to identify whether the contents are coherent given the aspirations of the labor market. The results show that there is a wide variation in the percentage of tasks required by the job market and also the percentage of universities that teach this respective function. Besides the functions, were also identified bibliography presented on the syllabus, in which were observed that the content taught in classrooms are broader and more comprehensive than the requirements of the job market for the controllership professional.

  O objetivo deste estudo é relacionar o conteúdo ministrado na disciplina de controladoria nas universidades federais brasileiras com as exigências do mercado em termos de funções básicas desempenhadas pelo controller. Com base em estudos já publicados, inicialmente,mapeiam-se as funções exigidas pelo mercado de trabalho e, posteriormente, analisam-se as ementas das disciplinas de controladoria para identificar se os conteúdos ministrados são coerentes com as exigências do mercado de trabalho. Os resultados demonstram que há grande variação nas funções exigidas pelo mercado e nos conteúdos ministrados pelas universidades nas disciplinas de controladoria. Identificaram-se as funções exigidas pelo mercado e a bibliografia apresentada nas ementas, em que se percebe que os conteúdos ministrados em sala de aula são mais amplos e abrangentes do que as exigências impostas pelo mercado de trabalho na contratação de um profissional de controladoria.
