    Lotfi Asker Zadeh: matemático, ingeniero electricista, inf ormático y profesor Iraní- estadounidense de la Universida d de California en Berkeley. Creó la teoría de conjuntos borrosos y la lógica bo rrosa. Zadeh es uno de los más notables genios de la época actu al. Entre sus otras creaciones están el método de la transformada Z, el enfoque de la teoría de sistemas lineales basado en estados, variables lingüísticas, control borroso, razonamiento aproximado, teoría de la posibilidad, “soft computing” , computación con palabras, teoría computacional de las percepciones, teoría de la granulació n de la información borrosa, teoría generalizada de la incer tidumbre, y números Z.

    Lotfi Asker Zadeh: mathematician, electrical engineer, com puter scientist and Iranian-American professor at the Univ ersity of Cali- fornia in Berkeley. He created the theory of fuzzy sets and fu zzy logic. Zadeh is one of the most remarkable geniuses of the current era. Among his other creations are the Z-transform method, t he approach of the theory of linear systems based on states, l inguistic variables, fuzzy control, approximate reasoning, theory o f possibility, "soft computing", computation with words, c omputational the- ory of perceptions, theory of the granulation of fuzzy infor mation, generalized theory of uncertainty, and Z-numbers.
