  • Hodson talks about the jetpack. Whether or not a backpack can lift a person into the sky depends on a few fundamentals: being small enough to wear, having fuel that contains enough energy for the flight time to be useful, and being sufficiently reliable so as not to tall out of the sky. Stunt jetpacks seem to meet those goals, but there are huge barriers to wider adoption. Safety is the biggest hurdle.
